EV Charger Installation Services — what’s included

Our EV charger installation service covers everything from product selection and site assessment through to installation and commissioning. We work with quality Level 2 AC chargers (7kW and above) that are compatible with all major EV brands available in Australia.

All installations are carried out by licensed electricians. We assess your home’s existing electrical switchboard capacity, discuss cable routing, and ensure the installation meets Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000). If a switchboard upgrade is required, we’ll let you know upfront.

    Level 1 charging uses a standard 10A household power point and adds roughly 8–10 km of range per hour — far too slow for most EV owners. Level 2 chargers run on a dedicated circuit and typically deliver 7kW or more, adding 40–60+ km of range per hour. For home use, a Level 2 charger is almost always the right choice.

    Most modern switchboards can accommodate a dedicated EV charger circuit, but some older homes may require an upgrade first. We assess your switchboard as part of the installation process and will let you know if additional work is needed before we start.

    Yes — and it’s one of the best ways to reduce your running costs. Smart EV chargers can be configured to prioritise solar generation, so your car charges predominantly from free solar energy during daylight hours rather than from the grid.
